Robo–jeez c’mon people

I know I said I probably was going to be mia for awhile, but I just had to post about this even though I’m out of it(so if this seems weirder than normal, thats why).

Firstly, if you’re new to, well, me, you should know that I am a huge Sayumin fan and a Risako fan, just not very hardcore of one. So, I was really looking forward to this performance. I mean like, THIS is the main reason I want this DVD. And I mean, it still is, but I’m a little disapointed.

Maybe I’m overly critical of Risako but I really exprected more of her since she has all this confidence placed in her, but maybe it’s gotten to her head? She seemed kinda bored and apathetic to in most of this, and her voice cracked several times and sounded strained, much more than Sayumins. I expected a goofy, exaggerated, cutsey performance, and while I got that out of Sayu, I did not see it from Risako. Her voice even let me down until the end of it when she improved a lot.

Sayu’s movements are always full enthusiam in this(although thats always, even this Sayu-haters should be able to admit that if she is good at anything, it is giving her full effort into whatever it is she is doing), whether it be odd body movements, arm motions or what not, she goes all out. She is also always very aware of the camera, making faces and hand gestures that go with what she is singing and is just, well, idol like. Except a few scenes, Risako’s expression hardly changes.  I actually think the camera may have been on Sayu more than Risako, just because Risako seemed pretty rookie on the stage, or maybe an older member who just doesn’t give a shit anymore.

I was happy Sayu got paired with Risako to do this, but now I wish she had done it with Junjun, you wanna know the main reason? There was absolutely no chemisty between Michishige and Sugaya. None. Sayumi may have been having fun and feeling the lyrics, but to Risako, it was obviously a job, I know she use to act a lot, but she is a awful actress now–it’s clear she wasn’t enjoying herself up there.

This wasn’t mean to be a Risako hate post, because I normally adore her, she just let me down is all.

Any other opinions on this?

Oh oh oh you know who else I would adore seeing Sayu perform this with? Nakky!!!! OMG that would be so so so -squeel- awesomely fantastic! Just think about it. Although the height difference would make it a little awkward… Damn.

Oh and BTW, the song Kiss Off by The Violent Femmes pwns my soul. Just a FYI.
